Quark Xpress

To  create a Tiff file from QX, adjust the quark file size to the final size of the ad. Go to “save page as EPS”, under OPI include all images and leave document at a scale of 100%. Open the Quark eps file in photoshop, make sure to assign 300dpi when opening the file. Flatten the image and change to greyscale or Bitmap mode under “image/mode”. Go to “save as” and chose Tiff format, click IBM PC under tiff options.

Illustrator

You can create tiff files directly from Illustrator by converting all to outlines, exporting the image (file/export) and choosing Tiff format. Under tiff options click 300dpi (high), greyscale and PC format Change the extension name to .tiff. Illustrator takes a long time to convert the file,

For a faster conversion, convert all to outlines and save the file as eps illustrator, and click the “embed all images” option. Open the Illustator eps file in photoshop, make sure to assign 300dpi when opening the file. Flatten the image and change to greyscale or Bitmap mode under “image/mode”. Go to “save as” and  chose Tiff format,  click IBM PC under tiff options.

Sending Art Work

We can only take CD’s formatted for PC. If the art work is small enough you may send it to us on a PC floppy.

You may also email the art work to: tsuro@otaymesa.org

If the file is too big , emailing might not work. To reduce file size choose LZW compression under tiff options.
