Otay Mesa Chamber Member- Foxconn Baja California hosted “The Medical Device Industry Evening” where the company announced to local authorities and industry representatives the expansion of its electronic manufacturing services into the medical device sector.
Now fully operational, the expansion includes a new clean room that will allow the company to streamline their medical device operations.
The Otay Mesa Chamber has made it a priority to spearhead border infrastructure projects that benefit the Cali-Baja region trade and traveler community.
Starting in July, thousands of pedestrians can expect a choice when crossing the border from Tijuana to San Ysidro. A new entrance called PedWest is scheduled to open on the west side of the port’s vehicle lanes, augmenting the current entrance on the east. The PedWest entrance initially will have 12 lanes that connect with Mexico’s El Chaparral facility. The plan for PedWest is that 10 lanes normally would serve pedestrians entering the United States, with two lanes set aside for southbound crossers. But depending on demand, their directions could be reversed.
Thumbsat recently opened a testing and manufacturing facility in Tijuana. Please see the full article with details about this exciting new project in the Cali-Baja Region.
