The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration is requiring all truckers working in the US, the use of electronic logging devices instead of paper logs.
The Otay Mesa Port of Entry will be one of the first land ports of entry to be used as a pilot for the PITA program. This state of the art system will basically automate cargo customs clearance through a paperless and human-less process.
