Drivers with FAST Cards no longer allowed to use Pedestrian SENTRI Lanes
Notice: Enforcement of Trusted Traveler Program in the San Diego Field Office
This serves as a formal notice regarding the proper utilization of lanes designated for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Trusted Traveler Programs (TTPs). As stipulated in the Trusted Traveler Handbook, drivers possessing Free and Secure Trade (FAST) cards are not authorized to utilize SENTRI vehicle or pedestrian lanes, nor non-FAST drivers entering FAST lanes at the Otay Mesa and Calexico East Commercial ports of entry.
Effective immediately, all ports of entry within the San Diego Field Office will enforce these guidelines. Any individual attempting to enter a vehicle or pedestrian lane without the appropriate, approved Trusted Traveler Program card may be subject to penalties to include removal from the Trusted Traveler Program.
These guidelines and CBP policy are detailed in the Trusted Traveler Handbook, specifically within Section 12. For your reference, the official CBP website, which hosts the handbook and related information, can be accessed by utilizing the following link: Trusted Traveler Handbook
For any questions regarding the Trusted Traveler Program and its associated handbook, please direct your inquiries to the Otay Mesa Enrollment Center at (619) 690-7600 or Calexico Enrollment Center at (760) 768-2406.
Adherence to CBP policy is crucial for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the Trusted Traveler Program.
