La Media Road Expansion Project Officially Completed

After many years of planning, coordination, and construction, the La Media Road Expansion project is now officially open!

This major infrastructure improvement marks a significant milestone for the Otay Mesa community, enhancing mobility, safety, and commercial access in one of the region’s busiest industrial corridors.

We extend our sincere thanks to the many individuals and agencies who helped bring this project to fruition. The first task force dedicated to this effort began under then-Councilmember David Alvarez. We are especially grateful to Assemblymember David Alvarez, Councilwoman Vivian Moreno, Mayor Todd Gloria, and the entire City of San Diego infrastructure team for their unwavering commitment and hard work.
