New Export Permit in Mexico for Several Products May Create Delays for Cross Border Trade

The Government of Mexico published an agreement in the Official Gazette (DOF) requiring an automatic export notification for certain goods. The agreement, which went into effect on June 4, 2025, covers 30 tariff classifications, including malt beer, tequila, raw silver, engine parts, jet engines, catalytic converters, computers, memory units, computer accessories, vehicle displays, fiber optic cables, medical instruments, and seat components, among others.
